I have a spot on my leg that has been bothering me for a while so I had a biopsy done. The doctor told me to take it easy over the weekend but we all know that "take it easy" means different things to different people. I "took it easy" for me. Which apparently is like not taking it easy at all. I helped the kids pack their bags and then I packed the car so we could go to Joseph City for Dallin's graduation. When we got there my ankle got swollen and my leg started to get worse. Needless to say, I did not "take it easy" and got it infected. Thankfully the doctor got me some medicine and I am doing better. The moral of the story... Make sure you clarify what the doctors instructions are and FOLLOW! :)

Lessons
When I go to church I know I will be spiritually edified. I have felt that way a lot lately. I feel like people prepare their lessons so that I can get what I need for the week. This weeks lesson was a little more personal that I am not sure I want to share so publicly but I will say that I learned my lesson for the day. One of the things I was reminded, however, was that if we don't forgive others we are only damaging and hurting ourselves. We can't let other people deter us from where we want to be. I have good days and bad days with this but I am determined to get through it. I just need a little reminder every now and then. So thanks!

The End of an Era
This morning as I was taking the kids to school I was telling Wyatt that today is the last time I get to help in his kindergarten class. No, he did not say it is the end of an era but I thought that when he got sad and said "but we love you there." I smiled and said, I was still at home for him to play with and that there is always next year. He is excited to start at the new campus for Franklin Brimhall next year but I think he is a little nervous. Cole and Kiley can't wait! I still can't believe that they are getting so big! Wyatt is still so small but crazy smart. He LOVES to read. I love that when I am reading he will come sit by me with a book and snuggle. He is my little baby cakes and he doesn't let me forget it. :) Summer, here we come!

Mother's Day
First, I want to express how much I love and appreciate my mom. She has taught me to be the person I am. She has been my example, my shoulder when I needed a good cry, and my friend when I needed one the most. She teaches me everyday and I am thankful for her in my life.
Second, I wanted to express my love for my children. I am so thankful that the Lord sent these incredible Spirits into my home for me to teach and to learn from. Each one is special in their own way. Cole is so sensitive. In the past this has been trying but now he has grown into a young man who is so caring and loving and wants to make sure that everyone knows of his love for them. Kiley is a little bit of sass. She is so fun and energetic and she keeps me on my toes. What would I do without her. Wyatt is a little spitfire. He is incredible. Every single day he makes sure that he has told me that he loves me and always has a hug and a kiss for me. He is always telling me I am the prettiest mom he knows. :) Chase is my little stinker. I love this kid! He is a handful and I wouldn't trade these times for anything. I love them so much and am thankful for them.
This morning I got up and made us all breakfast and when I went to get ready for church the kids, with Andrew's help, cleaned the kitchen and vaccumed the living room. They made cards and they gave me a necklace that Andrew took them to find. It is beautiful and I love it! In activity Days Kiley made me a pretty necklace with a mint green flower on it. It is so cute! I immediately put it on and she kept saying how much it means to her. She is so cute.
This Mother's day has been incredible. I love that they have been working together to make me feel special. I just love that they are working together! I am incredibly blessed and I love my family! Happy Mother's Day!!!

New Resolve
Since I only have one kid at home during the day I have been on the computer a lot more. I am on facebook, blogging, or just looking for crafts or other things on pintrest. I realized the other day that I don't get down on the floor anymore and PLAY with Chase. That is not ok! I need him to learn and to experience the fun stuff, and I want to be a part of that learning process. I am no longer going to be on any type of technology while the kids are awake. I can when Chase is taking his nap and the kids are at school and after bedtime for the kids at night. I am going to be involved in their lives. I feel bad that I haven't been. How did this happen? I can't tell you when but I can tell you when it stopped! :) (fyi Chase is napping now so I didn't break my resolve.) LOL

Perspective
Sometimes I get wrapped up in my own problems and focus on how to fix my issues and then I get hit with a reality stick. I am alive. I have a wonderful family. I have been brought back to what is truly important. Go hug your family and tell them that you love them every single day. I know I will!
