I used to look forward to my birthday. I was always excited! But the past few years have destroyed my love for the day. I now call it the birthday curse. I am NOT looking forward to Sunday. I will turn 35. That part is great. I don't care about getting older. I welcome it. It makes me feel like I am fitting in with my family. (yeah that is a therapy moment ;) I feel myself being pulled down more each day as it approaches. Last years birthday was the worst one. I may just hybernate and re emerge on Monday... We'll see. On the bright side, I have learned that I can do hard things this year. So, maybe I'll suprise you and show up. I guess we'll see......

12 YEARS
On Saturday February 25th Andrew and I will be celebrating our 12th anniversary. Twelve wonderful years with the most incredible man I've ever met. He inspires me. He lifts me up when I am down. He takes care of me when I am in need. He is my everything. I am so blessed to have him in my life. I am so thankful for the past 12 years. Some were harder than others. We have been tested, we have been tried and in the end, we are STRONGER than ever! I am so thankful for him and for our family that we have created these last 12 short years. Here are some highlights of our lives together...
* In 2001 we welcomed our first incredible child Cole Porter Knudsen
*In 2003 we welcomed our second incredible child Kiley Marie Knudsen
*In 2006 we welcomed our third incredible child Wyatt Joseph (Porter) Knudsen
*In 2009 we welcomed our last incredible child Chase William Knudsen
*In 2010 Andrew lost his job at University of Phoenix
*In 2011 we discovered that losing said job was a blessing in disguise...
*In 2011 Andrew got a job at many places but is finally in a fantastic position at JP Morgan Chase. He is finally in a job that makes him happy and leaves him feeling fulfilled at the end of the day.
*In 2011 we came together and made our Marriage stronger than ever. Learning life lessons and learning to communicate better than ever. I will forever be thankful for this year of growth.
Life is definately a rollercoaster. I wouldn't want to be on this ride with anybody else. I am totally and completely in LOVE with my very best friend! I love you ANDREW!

Ugh!
I am tired of being depressed. I thought I was through it. It happens a lot less lately but when it hits...watch out. I have been feeling so strange. I am just ready for it to end. Maybe I need to get out of the house more. I have kind of been a hermit lately. I found a new love for just being home, no distractions. There was a time a while back when I was never home, always on the go. I like focusing on my family and my home. I don't know. I am rambling. I am done.

My Baby Cakes
Wyatt loves it when I call him Baby Cakes. He has been feeling like he misses me a lot while he is away at school so I like to take him out for "mommy time" so he can talk and get my undivided attention. We have this bit we like to do where I say "I love you Wyatt. He says Love you more! Then I say Love you more than that. Then I say I love you more than the universe. He says I love you more than the University!" Now there is nothing bigger (to him) than the University. So he always wins at this point. Today however, he was telling me how much he loves me and told me that he would love me forever even after he dies. He then said He will hug and kiss me when he is dying. I told him I would die first and he seemed happy and said "GREAT! That way when I die I can see you in heaven and give you a great big hug and a kiss and then we can GET TO WORK!" I live for these moments! It is moments like this that shows how much kids hear and learn from their parents. I am so thankful that I have such special Spirits in my home. I learn from them every single day. I am so thankful for the blessing they are in my life but today I am especially thankful for my Baby Cakes :)
